Pizzaco, Whitby’s newest, and most innovative Pizzeria is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to join our team. You will help us push boundaries and be an instrumental part in the growth of our business. We work hard, and We play hard.
YOUR MUST-HAVES
You must love food (not just pizza)
You have 2-4 years experience working in all facets of a pizzeria
You have 2 years of management experience.
You’re an expert in hand stretching dough, including flips in the air 🙂
You have a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, highly motivated, experienced Pizzeria Manager, who thrives in a fast-paced environment. As the Assistant Manager, you will report to the Owner and be responsible for leading a team that consistently produces high quality pizzas and other food items. You’re a natural born leader who understands what it means to work with a sense of urgency.
Main job Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide superior customer service, you will be the face of the business
Act as coach and mentor to current and new team members
As this is a hands-on position, you will lead by example
Provides leadership within the pizzeria; recognizing and motivating the team to achieve operational excellence
Constantly monitor staffing levels and help us to recruit proactively
Ensure cleaning and maintenance schedules are followed to maintain cleanliness of equipment and all parts of the shop
Build sales and maximize profits by effectively interacting, developing, and communicating our company and customer expectations to the entire team
Dispatch orders for delivery to maximize ATD times and efficiencies
Provide and teach effective Dough Management, Prep Management and assignment of duties
Accountable for scheduling all pizzeria staff and contract delivery drivers taking into consideration, sales history, trends and daily labour
Identify opportunities for community involvement
Working Conditions:
As a Store Assistant Manager you will be expected to work a variety of shifts to ensure sound operations, which includes working evening, weekends, opens and closes
You will be required to interact with all team members, management, vendors and our customers
Overtime may be required based on business needs
Must be capable of lifting 25lbs
Must be able to work on your feet for long periods of time
